Manufacturers discuss the state of the compact excavator market

In the October issue of Construction Equipment (http://www.constructionequipment.com/minis-other-compacts-form-winning-combinations) editor, Frank Raczon interviewed several compact excavator product specialists. According to his article “Minis, Other Compacts Form Winning Combinations” (http://www.constructionequipment.com/minis-other-compacts-form-winning-combinations), sales of compact excavators are increasing year-over-year. Those interviewed attributed the growth to a solid home building market, labor shortages and overall lower cost of ownership when compared to larger machines.

The article goes on to discuss the advantages of pairing compact excavators with other compact equipment like skid-steer loaders and compact track loaders. It’s a good read and worth checking out.
